Who doesn't feel like an occasional good dip in the pool? In the Canary Islands we have a temperate climate all year round, however, the same cannot be said for the temperature of the water in your pool, especially between October and April. Did you know that by increasing the water temperature by a few degrees it will be hot enough to enjoy a pleasant swim? You only need to concentrate the heat of the sun!
At Grupo DAC we want to help you extend your swimming season to the whole year, and to do so, we propose to use polypropylene solar collectors.
Benefits:
These low-cost solar collectors, without a glass cover and without insulation, are mainly used in open-air swimming pools, where the aim is to extend the swimming period and thus make the construction cost more profitable.
This will turn the pool itself into an energy storage tank.
The pump used to filter the pool is also used to circulate the water through the solar panels, as long as the distance between them is not too great. If this is not the case, a pump will be installed to recirculate the water to the collectors.
On the other hand, the current legislation only allows the heating of outdoor pools by means of a heat pump or solar energy.
What is a thermal pool cover? It is a vital element to effectively heat a pool. Just as a pot lid, when we want to cook, The cover is a floating “blanket” of insulation that prevents the heat we provide to the pool during the hours of sunshine from being lost during the night. Therefore, the ideal is to use the pool cover always and only remove it when you go for a swim.
we can customize it to avoid heat loss in uncovered areas.
Advantages:
Normally you calculate to heat a swimming pool, no matter how many m3 it has, the m2 of 50 to 75% of the surface of the pool sheet, which corresponds to the m2 of solar collectors. You will obtain a gain of approximately 10ºC over the ambient temperature. It is recommended to put a thermal pool cover at night to avoid losing all the energy supplied to the pool during the hours of sunshine.
